Desktop speakers .01 + shipping

Most of these type of old speakers that are designed to hang on an old CRT monitor are NON-powered, meaning they have no power cord, and draw from the computer, which means they will not work or will be so faint, you'll throw them away........which explains why they got them free and they only cost .01 😀

Warranty: none

Ooooooh.......there's an incentive!!

Actually, some of the best cheap speakers I ever bought, I got over at Buy.com, and were usb powered. Granted, ultra-cheap, and definitely not for anything more complicated than windows sound effects, but not having to run another power cable to a power strip was an added plus! 🙂

Not worth paying for shipping unless you need other stuff and throw them in. If you want cheap speakers go to your local office or computer store and check the clearance shelf. Dollar stores or places like biglots are good too.

ordering 100 sets to fill with my whole wall with that. should be good if all are turned on. haha. thx

Uhh, you'd have to plug them into a amp...cause just a "Y" cable with 100 speakers plugged into it would not work.

**I know you wern't serious, I'm just over analyzing.

I'm having serious doubts about dealing with this company at all.

According to ResellerRatings, they had an excellent rating once, but their 6-month rating is 2/10, and the reviews from six months before that are even worse than the ones from the last 6 months.

It's been a year since they responded to any negative review (11/14/05), and oddly both the volume and character of reviews also abruptly changed on exactly that date. It's almost as if the old site closed and someone else took over the domain -- but even that wouldn't yield such a sharp cutoff. There would still be good reports from Christmas sales rolling in. Was there was some sort of policy change on ResellerRatings on Nov 14, '05?

Based on the reports of the condition of the used items they shipped as "new", I wouldn't know what to expect from an item that they're selling for $0.01 Water and smoke damage? Rotten plastic? Even a lot of long-obsolete clearanced parts, like Socket 7 fans (Pentium 1) which normally cost less than speakers, are selling for a dollars, not pennies. It sounds to me like a situation where they want to make a little profit on inflated S/H, knowing that almost no one will return (or complain too much about) $0.01 speakers.

I'd love to be wrong. I did find a lot of inexpensive items on that site that have been on my "parts" list for a while, but I'm concerned that an order with dozens of sub-$10 and sub-$5 items would be virtually begging for *something* (probably many somethings) to be skipped, ignored, "wrong item sent", etc. A bad bargain is no bargain.

If you've done business with them lately, or if ResellerRatings isn't reliable anymore, I'd love to hear about it.

Shipping definately kills the deal. $18 shipping on only 10 pairs!

that's 1.80 per speaker.
Pretty cheap if you ask me

Think of it more like you're throwing away $1.80 per speaker. 😀

Seriously, no one uses unpowered speakers today, you won't hear anything from them!
