Are there any nice programs that can group desktop icon into a menu? Say I wanna make a menu called "games" and I click that a menu will appear showing all my games.....make a menu called "Audio editing" and all the audio settings appear as a menu...etc..etc.

I'm wanting to organize my desktop without using folders.

This program looks nice but I'm weary about it taking up excess resources. Then again I could still be gunshy from my old computer..cuz my new computer could probably handle it.

Can anyone reccomend this, "ObjectDock"? or know of similar programs?

You can create your own toolbar and put shortcuts in it. Right-click the taskbar and go to Toolbars > New toolbar. Select the folder in wich you have your shortcuts and presto!, you have a new toolbar wich can be placed on your desktop.

Of course, in order to be able to do this, first you have to create a folder for each toolbar you want to create and put all the shortcuts in it.

I use active desktop with a nice HTML layout. I get the weather, all my apps are nicely arranged, i have a google search, image search, and dictionary search on my desktop. Its quite nice I would look into this if you want neatness.
