Desktop arrangement presets and switching not working with Cata 12.1 preview?

I'm having a lot of difficulty with CCC under the 12.1 preview. I typically switch between a 1xDell 3011H + 3xDell 2007H setup for desktop use and gaming, to a single HDMI ouptut to my HDTV for laz-y-boy gaming. Unfortunately I can't do all of this at one time do to legacy connection limitations, so I have to switch back and forth, but I'm not able to do so with these drivers.

First, the presets don't work at all, and second, for some reason it keeps trying to switch me back to previous display arrangements when I change it. Like I'll have it set to HDMI only, then go to the CCC desktop arrangements window and select "replace" for the Dell 3011H to make that the new single display, and it works, but 20 seconds later it switches back to the HDTV output... The only way I can prevent this switch-back sometimes is to stop the CCC.exe process. Adding additional monitors via extend (forget eyefinity) is tough to do.

Anyone else experience this? This is a major pain in the ass for me as I typically switch quite often between setups.

(i'm running 2x6950 in crossfire, for the record - all monitor connections are to a single card, if that matters)

It seems like presets are broken on 12.1. I am using two LG IPS226v with a Samsung 913N. Normally I use extended desktop and for gaming eyefinity with non native resolution on the LGs. It is far from perfect, but it works.

11.12 and 11.11 worked fine, today I switched to 12.1 and it doesn't. Which is quite irritating as it takes quite a time to adjust all of the screens (changing resolutions and main display also). Otherwise, it won't change my configuration, but I am only using three displays.

(6950, single card)

Here we are, two versions later and the presets still don't work. How did a bug in such an important but simple feature not get noticed during testing?

Use Win+P to switch presets, as an alternative to the CCC preset switching.

For example, press Win+P to select "Computer Only". Then configure your displays for that preset. Then, press Win+P to select another preset, such as "Projector Only" or "Extend" and configure your displays in a different way for that preset.

As an example, use "projector only" to activate the HDMI TV and disable the other monitors. Then, use "Extend" to activate the Dell monitors. That should work, even with the 12.1 drivers.
