Anybody know what the difference is between a Desknote and Notebook? I'm seeing desknotes on pricewatch for a lot cheaper than notebooks, yet they seem to have the same features/speed. Can anyone enlighten me?
It seems to me that they look like a notebook but are supposed to be used more as a desktop and therefore are less transportable, IE short battery life, heavy, etc.
if im not mistaken, they are actually batteryless, although you can purchase an external battery. Also, they for the most part use standard desktop parts that are faster than normal laptop parts. Laptops have to run cooler and with less power. ECS sells them and if you go on Price Watch and search for desknote you can find some for around $700.
