I`ve got to design a new website for the company I work for, and would like to know your opinions on what you like to see gernerally on a website (for a buisness).

This company sells airplane parts. It doesn`t want to have a shopping cart or anything on the web site. Just wants to talk about the company, manufatures of the products, what types of products it sales.

Thanks

make sure you proofread it more than you do when you post :disgust:

business is not a hard word and twice you screwed that up...the rest whoa.

anyways if you have us tell you or just look at one you are getting a 'template'.

Find a template you like or several and make your own-based on it. I would start with other airplane parts companies websites.

Maybe English is not his first language and he is designing the site for a business at a foreign country?

edit: checked his profile, he is from Montreal, maybe French is his first language, his English = not so good?

What would people like to see:

Your catalog of parts. With prices. Websites without prices are USELESS. I know that some people think they're releasing some kind of sensitive information if they put prices online. I don't get it. If people need to buy an altrimeter, they're gonig to want to know how much it costs. If you don't sell direct to the public, put the suggested retail price on there. If you only sell to manufacturers, put thier price on there.

Your physical address, email address, and phone number. People want to get a hold of you. If you don't want them to talk to you, what do you need a website for?

Manuals and support info for products. If someone buys a part and needs to install it, it would be helpful to be able to get an installation manual without waiting days to have it shipped.

Things people don't care about:

The name of the guy that founded your company and his family history. Other irrelevant crap that doesn't have anything to do with them getting aircraft parts.

Flash graphics and intro pages.

Sound.
