I was truly addicted to Desert Combat CTF, and played daily for about 18 months. Now that Desert Conflict CTF 0.22 has ben released, I've been playing it and it's not too bad. Defintiely brings back some of the CTF fun I had been missing.

But the servers are almost all empty every night. Do you guys even know this CTF mod exists? Or have many people tried it and just don't like it? Witht he huge popularity of Desert Combat CTF, I thought this BF2 mod would be much bigger. I'm hoping that it starts to get more players on each night.

 
hm didn't know dc was still being updated. figured it was gonna die because of bf2 had the dev team or something.
 
Actually, this DC and the old DC are two different designers. But Desert Conflict has used the old Desert combat as a guide for their CTF design. It definitely has potential if it can get some more people playing.
 
Ya Desert Conflict is a bunch of new guys who are trying to recreate the feel of the original Desert Combat on the BF2 engine. AFAIK there are none of the old developers on the new DC or DCON team.
They do look to have some very talented people working on the mod though. Some of their coders are the guys from serversidemodding.com who did some amazing stuff.
