Desert Combat Help!!!

Ok..when I play Desert Combat, I jump in the game and everything is hunky dory until, I get in a plane or chopper and somebody or me starts firing. All of a sudden my game starts to chunk up bad!!! I'm talkin like less than 5 fps while shooting. Then when there is no action going on then the game goes back to normal again. Any ideas of what it could be?? I know its not my specs cause I've got a killer machine. Please help??

I'm using drivers 67.03.
 
sorry about the 2 threads, I just got a blank screen when I went submitted the first time so I went back cause I thought it didn't happen. And sure enough 2 had been submitted. ANyways, back to my problem. My specs are
-AMD64 3500+ 90nm Winnie
-MSI K8N Neo2 PE
-1GB GeIL PC3200 DDR400
-eVGA GeForce 6800GT
-2 WD Raptors in Raid 0

So there shouldn't be any problems with my specs.
