That is NOT "the typical ATOT'er". Sure, there are some that fall right into that category head first, but there are more here who are worth conversing with than not. (Although this statistic seems to be changing more and more each day)

The typical ATOT-er is just an average person. Diverse from many ways - different races, different jobs, different social classes, different religions, different believes, different objects used to describe bulk beef - but also willing to hide their own differences to take a shot at someone else from time to time. In general, they don't give a rat's ass what is said on ATOT unless it's entertaining or of particular interest to them, but can be provoked under certain conditions. For the most part, when they close the browser window or walk away from the computer, ATOT is completely out of their mind.

On the other hand, there are the few a-typical ATOT-ers that have gone above and beyond to make a name for themselves, for better or (often) for worse. Many of these are more closely related to a /b/tard than the aforementioned "typical" ATOT-er. Unlike the typical ATOT-er, they may put a lot of emotion into their posts, and generally think about what was said on the forum even after they've logged out. On the other hand, they may care even less about what others or even themselves have said, and simply post to create anger, confusion, and misery for others, for their own perverse sense of entertainment.

As others have touched on most are $200K+ a year earners. Also most ATOTers have zero debt, and incredible financial management skills. You'll never catch them carrying a credit card balance, taking on more home than they can afford, or making any bad financial decisions. They also hate the following things: chain restaurants, pizza places that aren't "mom and pop," sandwich shops that aren't "mom and pop," unhealthy Little Debbie holiday snack cakes, steaks that don't moo when you poke them with a fork, and any BBQ sauce that they don't make themselves or that isn't made in small batches by some hole-in-the-wall restaurant near their home. I'm sure there is more I can't think of right now.

I don't think the self righteous a-hole is the typical ATOT'er, but they certainly can be the loudest, and therefore the most visible in the community.
