Just in... Rod Rosenstein just resigned!

Effective May 11th. Well well. Is this someone getting more desperate/paranoid, did he finally get rid of the filthy Mueller helper? Or did Rosenstein really resign?

He looked like he was trying not to appear irked at Barr's shit show. Hard to say at this point, no real details yet on this particular departure. In his letter to Trump, "We keep the faith, we follow the rules, and we always put America first."

I think someone couldn't work for a criminal anymore.

Subpoena his ass before Congress, don't ask. He cannot declare executive privilege and he must comply and testify. It really is past time Congress behaves as a coequal branch and uses its lawful powers. After all the Executive uses powers he doesn't have so time to take that head-on.

My guess is that they threatened him with legal action for spying on Trump and seeking the 25th. The DOJ works for Trump, not the American people.

Yeah I recall this being announced to occur shortly after the next AG would be confirmed. ....I honestly thought Rosenstein had been out for at least a month or so now, lol.

He can now be indicted, along with all the others who started the coup attempt on our President.

Impeachment is not a tool meant to be used because the election didn't go your way. And that's all that has happened here.

Someone was impeached? Who? When? Oh, wait. You guys still going on about that Clinton fella?

More importantly, have they given you your silver shirt yet?

Never mind illegally using campaign funds to payoff pornstars or repeated obstruction of justice.

I'd say impeachment is a good tool to evict a corrupt POTUS who sides with the leader of a hostile foreign power over their own country.

Anyone remember Helsinki??

The JFK murder remained a mystery for so long because it was hatched by two CIA men and Bay of Pigs veterans. The first of those who planned it was a propaganda and psy-war specialist who had Oswald in his hip-pocket from February, 1961. The second was an associate who worked with a liaison to the Mafia. Most likely, but for those two, nobody else involved knew the real names of anyone else in the cabal -- they all used pseudonyms. It was all a conspiracy that could hardly be proven so, with plausible deniability at the lowest level.

But now, we have the "liberal media" -- at least six different conglomerates, plus newspaper chains, etc. -- with a dozen independent news agencies like AP and UPI -- government agencies of the "Deep State" like CIA and FBI -- "Democrat" careerists in those agencies, a former British intelligence officer who worked first for the GOP and then the Democrats, members of Congress and others -- all operating within a pervasive, secret conspiracy to oust Trump in a "coup", based on an investigation that originates a couple years before Trump was elected (amazing prescience!).

In fact, the remainder of the US population who aren't part of the "American people" that elected Trump with Russian assistance is conspiring to overthrow him.

That being said -- if all else fails, I'd be happy for a digital copy of the viral video for a Zapruder re-make -- adverse consequences to such a thing notwithstanding.

Just watch out for Trump's Thought Police . . . If I had a dime for every conspiracy or conspiracy aspect dreamed up by Trump's Own, I'd be as rich as Bill Gates.

Only truly corrupt people point out Republicans acting in a corrupt manner. Are you part of the coup as well?

Let's look into that after Trump, Barr and the rest are indicted as they are the more egregious actors in this modern tragedy.

Also, when you speak of coup you show great ignorance in what that is, but do support tyranny. Not a good look.

Barr won't be able to keep Rosenstein from talking to Congress, as Barr won't be his boss any longer.

Not that I'm assuming Rosenstein wants to talk to Congress. But he can be subpoenaed as a private citizen, and there's no one to give him an excuse not to go.

Rosenstein to Trump in his resignation letter: :confused_old:

I am grateful to you for the opportunity to serve; for the courtesy and humor you often display in our personal conversations;

I guess he saw what happened to McCabe and didn't want to risk losing his pension as well

Or..While it is entirely possible that Rosenstein is just kissing ass, I find myself wondering if all of these compliments are backhanded and phrased in the language of the bureaucrat, knowing full well that Trump won't get it. For example:

I am grateful to you for the opportunity to serve

I received a nice paycheck in exchange for doing very little. Sure, I could have made more in the private sector but I would have had to add value somehow and that involves work.

for the courtesy

You have such a short little attention span that I never had to talk to you for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

and humor you often display in our personal conversations

You say such dumb shit I get to go home laughing every day and you can't pay for that kind of entertainment.

Rosenstein has always been a Trump cuck, sucking up to him even while Trump was belittling him to the public. He helped Barr and Trump get their pre-preemptive spin ready for the release of the Mueller report and backed them up publicly after its release. If there was any way for Rosenstein to stop the investigation from happening he would have.

Maybe, but if I were Rosenstein I'd remember what happens to people who speak up before retirement. Let's see what happens when he's out.
