Depression

I have personally battled depression. For me, I never wanted to do anything, just stay at home and sleep a lot, along with anxiety attacks whenever i had to commit to something. I found that interaction with other people was extremely hard, aswell. Just my 2 cents. 🙂

Interaction with others is possible in Idaho?

How did you come over it?

Well, family finally got me to a doctor and he prescribed my Zoloft for the depression and i would take a BusPar whenever i felt any anxiety coming on. Zoloft is a lifesaver for me. Now that i have been getting out with friends and actually enjoying life i have no trouble with depression anymore.

So medicine is the only way eh? 🙁

Pretty much, for me anyway, but if you can get that certain person out and having fun often they will more than likely overcome depression, IMO. I'm no doctor by any means, but thats how i fell about the subject.

Actually now i havent taken a zoloft in months, just because ive been getting out of the house more, etc etc.

That generally only seems to work when the depression is caused by either a social situation or a general situation. If the depression is caused by something very specific, it does not work as well.

Another common sign of depression is irritability. Short temper with people.

Oh, and just so you know, they aren't kidding when they say not to mix alcohol with Wellbutrin.

I heard that after awhile you become dependant on the medication, and if you quit taking it bad things could happen.

It's a depressing thought.

Yeah, I didnt stop taking my 'meds' cold turkey, i slowly weaned myself off of them but if i ever started feeling depressed again i would take a minimal dose once a day every day till i got over the slump... Left this out.. My depression was a chemical imbalance in the ol noggin here. It sort of runs in the family.

What sort of activities help combat depression? What sort of stuff can you get someone suffering from depression involved in?
