Depressing: Did mental addition of the electronic gadgets I want to get

I was thinking about the immediate electronic gadgets I want to buy, and it started to depress me because I can't afford them for quite some time. Here's my list of identified (and reasonable, really!) wants:

Canon 20D digital SLR camera ($1300)
Canon 10-22mm lens ($800)
Canon Speedlite flash ($550)
Yamaha VX-2400 HT receiver ($800)
Yamaha center channel HT speaker ($300)
New flash MP3 player ($100-150)
JVC 34" 16:9 CRT ($1000)

Total: $4900

Anyone got any cash lying around they could donate?

That's why I avoid fixing up cars. Just getting into photography, and that's expensive enough!

wow, the canon flash is $550? and I thought my nikon sb800 was too much at ~$250 after rebate.

Who said anything about "need"?

In reality, I'll probably get the digital SLR in the next year, and that's about it.

Actually, I mistyped. 550 is the model -- it's $450. Wow, what a bargain!

Looks like that new laptop battery that I've been holding out for is going to have to wait until next year.
