Are you allowed to give up info about your visits and such if you choose to, under HIPPA?

Yes, you are.

This thread just BEGS the question: Guess the color of Dr. Carwash? I say he turned GREEN after he did that, a very DARK green. :p

My guesses:

1) They waited to see the extent of the ensuing medical bills to correct the mistake

2) If they sue too early, the jury might decide that they're doing it for the money

ROFL. Like its sad to hear that she has had all the infections, but a drill bit just doesn't break because it wants a vacation. I hope she at least gets rid of the infections, they can become deadly and dangerous if not properly treated.

It's not that rare for drill bits to break off. I think my mom had one lodged inside one of her teeth for a couple decades. It wasn't considered a huge deal unless it started migrating towards sinuses. The idiot dentist in this story sounds rediculously negligent, even if you break a drill it shouldn't make that much of a mess, unless you were doing something stupid...

Was it a diamond or carbide bur? These burs lock onto the handpiece. If she signed the consent form, he might not be liable. The real issue is why is he dancing.

even if they lock in couldn't a bur weaken enough or have an inherent flaw that cause them to break off? i think so.

i wonder about the dancing part. is that really the cause of this? i can't imagine he was shaking his booty and running a drill simultaneously.
