Dentist pulls out all of Christopher Crist's teeth

Pulling teeth is good money. When I had 4 of my teeth pull out before they put the braces in, it cost me $900. I got blood coming out from the edge of my lips like a vampire after the procedure. They were assholes.

Like all other situations where corporations are doing something bad, need to vote with your wallet. People who go to that dentist need to switch ASAP.

Lol. Yeah, "voting with your wallet" is the way to stick it to a dentist who pulls all your teeth.

Not like he'll need a dentist anymore anyway.

Whats the big deal? They all go...eventually.

Pulling three teeth is hardly anything significant. Now, pulling every tooth is amazing. The guy should have known what was coming just from the name so I can't blame the dentist.

That's insane, but would not surprise me. Capitalism. Any lawsuit will probably also fail. Single person vs corporation practicing things that make the share holders and government happy. Corporation wins. There's probably something they sign at some point with really fine print in legalese that gives them rights to do it, too.

Yup, the dentist took one look at this guys insurance and decided to bleed him dry. Standard practice for dentists, gigantic assholes all of them are.

Capitalism? Are you stupid.

Well I was speaking in general. But even with a dentist you can vote with your wallet. You may not be the one paying out of your own pocket because the employer covers it, but it's still money going to that specific dentist, so people should start switching in protest of their practices. Most corporations/companies these days are corrupt and don't care, until it comes to their bottom line. Hit them where it hurts. They did this just so they can make more money and don't care about the fact that someone will be without teeth for the rest of their lives. They might even make more money if the customer gets dentures at that same office... which would be pretty stupid to give them that business, but they probably hope.

So being against corrupted business/medical practices is communism now? WTF?

Capitalism? Are you stupid.

Capitalism is the act of doing anything possible to maximize profits, while not caring for the end user or employees or anything else but the bottom line. In this case, they pulled all his teeth, and apparently do that often to other patients too. Other businesses may do other things like lay off employees, or outsource tech support etc. They did this so they can make more money off him.

People are actually ok with this kind of practice? I'd say they're the ones who are communist and stupid. This business world is extremely corrupt, and people just don't seem to realize it. Sadly this will get burried within less than a week and people will forget about it, meanwhile this guy is now stuck with no teeth for the rest of his life and will have to get dentures, all because some dentist wanted to make an extra buck.

I wish this surprised me, but it doesn't seem that far fetched based on my experience. I had an orthodontist start ripping my baby teeth out with no anesthetic when I was about 11 without telling my parents so he could try and sell them braces earlier. Must be the fuckstump needed a new boat that year. And I'm sick and tired of them wanting to X ray my fucking head for no reason all the time while they hide behind a wall. I went to another dentist in my late 20s and they tried to sell me on getting some braces. I already had braces. Don't get me wrong, I think modern dental care is a good thing...but the profession does seem to have a fair share of money grubbing sadists that will willingly perform unnecessary procedures and treatments for the good of their own pocket books and the expense of their patients wallets and quality of life.

No, they have witnesses and another patient whose entire bottom row of teeth were pulled for no reason.

Even if he did...why the hell would the dentist have asked that question in the first place unless he was trying to take advantage of the disabled? I kind of doubt the guy actually needed ALL of his teeth removed.

Given that the kid was 21 and needed three teeth pulled already, I mean... damn.

With the autism, it makes more sense - he probably had sensory input issues with brushing his teeth, and just didn't bother.

My bet is, if he had three rotten out teeth, he probably had a lot more rotten out teeth that they aren't telling us about, and poor overall dental hygiene.

When patients are sedated, docs sometimes make these kinds of calls. Being over 18, his parents wouldn't have been in the decision loop. (Being a fan of informed consent, I'd prefer they didn't work that way, but that's neither here nor there.)

Or, hell, maybe the dentist was mentally ill. But then at least he didn't go shoot up a building full of kids.
