Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football

Yeah, but he does introduce a certain 'random element' into the broadcasts. He just needs to stay focused on the sport, not on himself.

But the randomness is only because he doesn't talk about football, just everything else. He also isn't funny. But when he tries, Al tries to join in and it all goes to....

He is there for a comidic element not to be an announcer. But I do agree that last week didn't go that well.

Miller is a funny guy...on HBO.

Limbaugh would have been a better choice as far as having a commentator that knows football and is able to speak without constantly tripping over his own jokes. IMHO

He adds some well-needed humour to the announcing. While I agree that last monday wasn't his best showing, he has done better in the past.

Hey we're all entitled to our slip ups.

Edit: Some typos.

I'll have to say, he's come up with far more ball related comments than I thought he would. It shows he knows something about the game and the teams.

Dennis Miller is THE WORST sports announcer I have ever heard.

His "humor" is very forced, unfunny, and adds nothing to the game.

BAH! GO AWAY!

On Monday Night I thought he was horrible. Ugh. Remember when he was talking about going to the bathroom in a cup, and the Skittle? Ugh. And you could tell Michaels didn't like him and either do I. I liked Boomber personally and I really don't feel like muting MNF.

Dennis Miller knows SH*T about football and I don't even find him funny when I watch it. I say they give him the heave-ho.
