1. How many times do you wear a pair of jeans before you wash them?

2. If you wash them, do you iron them?

3. How much wear would you get out of a pair of jeans before you discard them or use them for e.g., working in the garden, painting, hanging out at home, rags, etc.

I only know a few guys who iron their jeans before wearing them and they are:

1. Former Marines
2. Stylin' black dudes

I am neither. :/

1) wear 2-4 times then wash
2) wear for 12 months
3) no, unless if they're wrinkly at the bottom

who the fvck irons their jeans after washing?

I guess you fall into the "slob" category.

i want my jeans comfy, not crisp

What if you need to go to some event, and you need to look sort of neat/ tailored/ slick, but at the same time not too formal? If you want to wear e.g., denim jeans and a blazer in that scenario, wouldn't the denim need to be sort of fresh and crisp looking and free of wrinkles?

Well if your wearing distressed or destroyed jeans then no do not iron them it kind of kills the look, but if your going to rock some dark raw denim then definately iron them.

if your jeans are good enough that won't be necessary ;)

I do, but only if I'm wearing them out. They look better ironed.

I probably wear about 4-5 times between washes, and I've never had a pair of jeans wear out.

I also don't iron my jeans... that just seems strange, they're casual pants.

If you let jeans dry "flat" then they're pretty much set and don't really need ironing.
To those who wear once, how can you? Jeans always suck straight out of the wash, first wear, and I find they need at least 2 or 3 sessions of wearing to be comfortable again.

2-4 times before wash, until they are in tatters (done it with a couple pairs)... who the hell irons jeans (don't bother answering)? I don't iron anything.

Maybe because you don't dry them? Mine always feel fine right out of the dryer.

1) Until they smell/feel dirty
2) A couple years at least (you guys are buying some damn cheap jeans if they only last 6-12 months!)
3) Nope

1. only once or twice. i like to wash them a lot to get that soft, worn in feeling. also, i like them to be a bit tight, so it helps when i wash them.

2. no i never iron them.

3. a few months

The only person I'm aware of who irons jeans is my GF's mom, she irons her husband's jeans. They've given me a couple pairs (because they got a teeny fray somewhere or something) and it takes me a while to get the damn crease out.

I wear them an unspecified number of times before washing--whenever they seem to need it.
I retire them once they get holes in the knees, and then just wear them around the house, for chores, or convert into cutoffs for summer.

It's a matter of opinion. I think they look silly ironed.

You would never be able to tell I ironed my jeans. When they come out of the dryer they look "bumpy," so I quickly run an iron over them. I don't iron in a crease, or starch 'em, or anything.
