So, at my job, back when the IT budget was being formalized for this fiscal year, I requested a 17" Apple Powerbook G4... and it was approved.
I put together all the purchasing paperwork, and took it to the big boss for his signature... and he won't sign it! :|
He said there is no way he can justify a Mac at such a high price point when all of our exisiting infrastructure is PC.
But since the big boss likes me (apparently not enough, but hey, I ain't gonna bite the hand that feeds me) he said I could get an equivalent PC notebook with all the "bells and whistles".
My problem is that I'm having a hard time finding a PC notebook that fits the bill. I want it to have the following:
17" TFT
2GHz+ processor
1GB+ RAM
60GB+ HDD
10/100/1000 Ethernet
802.11g
Bluetooth
56K modem
USB 2.0
IEEE-1394
Win XP Pro
Anyone have any ideas?
