First off all you keep refering to democrat party this democrat party that, what the hell is a democrat party? You mean to say democratic party!
Moving onto more flaws in your statements, you stated that the media is controled by the democratic party...haha do you know how to read? Cause if you do, I'd suggest you read this book titled, "what liberal media" written by Eric Alterman. While you named a few stations that have supporters for the democratic party, but what station doesnt have any republican party supporters? If you choose to play that game then lets name all the media that distributes information to benefit the republican party...Fox news, MSNBC, ABC and I'm sure if I searched I'd find a lot more.
THe reason why your statment doesnt hold any water is because the media today is mostly owned by big corporations. Trying to name a few big corporations that support the democratic party is next to impossible if compared to the republican party. Anyways if you ever have doubts about your media, why dont you try to read a respectable media source such as the "NY times." Before you go start bashing about the NY times, just know this: NY Times is the most respectable media in the country, and perhaps the world.
Also, you asked how could republicans be stupid if they are rich? Easy, they only care about one thing, making money. While certain social issues, worldly issues, scientific issues, educational issues that are also important have gon unchecked. If any political question is asked to a republican, the answer that comes out of him or her is "cut more taxes." All the issues are not going to go away by you saving more money on your taxes. Unless you are willing to go to a more extreme type of government like Hitler once did, then poor people, and the less wealthy will stay apart of our communities. In the end thats really what you are pushing forth: to let the poor in our society live without any kind of benefits is another way to kill them.
Need I remind you that the taxes that you (republicans) are cutting is mostly affected by the upper classes, which holds about 1% of our population? If the poor and the middle class are cut from certain benefits such as healthcare, good education, would that really improve our economy? IF the middle class is tied up with their money on speningd massive amount of money to let their kids go to a private school per year, and the poor having to pay for all their healthcare expenses would they have the leisure to spend spend spend? if no1 is spending in our nation except the top 1% of our popualtion our cash flow will be stale, which leads to economic failure in this country.
Its true that when you cut taxes, each individual will benefit for the time being. But if you studied how economy really works then you'd know that these tax breaks will have the following affects in the future or near future:
1) Quality of public education
2) quality of living for every1 but the rich will minimize
3) a slow down in economic growth
4) a massive debt for the country
(IE: if a person without health care really needs a surgery to live, our government will not sit
there and watch this person die. If you do suggest on watching him die, then I can freely call

If you look at the 7 power nations in the world, we are the only country that has so little responsibility to the poor (soon we will lose it for the elderly because our social security funds have been depleted). The only reason why our GNP is the way it is is because our land produces a lot more resources than the other countries. If you actually compare the ratio of our gnp to our resources, then we would not be considered as the strongest economic nation in the world.
To refer back to the original point that Ms Laura was making. Not all REpublicans are stupid. I always believed there are 2 types of republicans. 1st type is the wealthy republicans who are voting out of greed and ignorance, and the second is filled with stupid republicans who are in the middle and lower class who are voting against their own interests. Now lets do a simple math, since the smart republcians who are voting for their interests are only the top 1% of the population, (if republicans account for 50% of population in this country) then that would mean that 98% of all republicans are stupid (because that would make 2% of the republicans voting FOR their own interest).
