Dems need a Southern Democrat next time

The last Northeastern Democrat elected president was John F. Kennedy in 1960. Since then, just three Democrats - all from the South - have served: Lyndon Johnson of Texas, Jimmy Carter of Georgia and Bill Clinton of Arkansas.

I saw the electoral map of 92 and 96 and Clinton won quite a few southern states and the ones that he lost in were by 1-2%. Is their anyone like Clinton out there?

Funny thing is Massachusetts has the lowest divorce rate....and the Red states in general have the most out of wed-lock births.

It's not about the moral values of candidates or of the people from different areas.......but rather the perception of those.

BTW, the fact that one of the most liberal Senators in congress nearly got elected president, should give all conservatives pause.

I don't think the Southwest is South. More Southeast. NM is West.

W. Bush - Texas
Clinton - Arkansas
H. W. Bush - Texas
Reagan - California
Carter - Georgia
Nixon - California
