Do you ever understand your hypocrisy?? You are very right leaning and oppose welfare for the poor/minorities (higher taxes in general which pay for these government programs),

Oppose welfare? Hell no. Welfare is a great thing for people who truly need it.

However, welfare should be a helping hand and not a career path.

yet you feel entitled to not have to work to pay child support because "it's your choice." And you say a woman should not be able to have the choice to not go through with a pregnancy, so when that happens to you, you are upset??? Come on dude, get a grip.

The hypocrisy here is men have no choice. We are told to keep our peter in our pants and take responsibility for the child we created.

Women on the other hand are comforted and told they can have an abortion and avoid responsibility

Why is that certain politically slanting individuals are always so hard up on "do the crime, do the time" and preaching about personal responsibility, but then bitch when they knock a girl up and have to pay for the kid.

Sometimes abortion is the responsible thing to do.

The purpose of the bill isn't to stop 3rd trimester abortions. The purpose of the bill is to stop states from eroding the constitutional right to an abortion by imposing all sorts of ridiculous requirements on abortion clinics that are not imposed on doctors providing similar level of services. E.g., the doctor must be an admitting doctor at a local hospital, required ultrasounds, etc. Several states, Texas included, while not being allowed to stop abortions, have blatantly passed legislation for the sole purpose of making abortions more difficult and more expensive to attain, using a thinly veiled, "it's for the mother's best interests in her health" as an excuse.

Men can have a vasectomy and avoid that responsibility as well. Your point?

On the flip side, some liberals are dead set against strict liability (felony murder) except insofar as it can be used to compel men to pay for one night stands.

Funny how everyone has an agenda.

You have identified as far right. Far right folks pretty much do not want welfare for anybody, at all. There seem to be few circumstances in which a far right leaning individual deems welfare an acceptable option for somebody.

Sure they do man! It's as simple as wearing a rubber. How f'ing hard is that??? If it really is that hard, then don't stick your wick into a chick that isn't on birth control. Get a BJ instead.

Murdering an unborn child should never be a right.

Those states are taking measures in an attempt to protect the childs right to life.

I am about as far right as they get, but I approve of welfare for those who need it.

Just do anal.

...
Wrong. They are saying that the life of the unborn child is more important than the life of the mother.

Well given all the women that want to have abortions. Apparently its pretty damn hard.

Far right guy supporting welfare... yeah idk....Whatever you say.

Yeah, that's still a bad idea. And also kind of gross.

If it were murder, it would be illegal. Determining whether it is murder vs. abortion of a fetus has already been settled by the courts - it wasn't my call to make, and it's not your call to make.

You mean, those states are taking measures in an attempt to block Constitutional rights. Why do you hate the Constitution?

I bet the liberal child hating left loves this.

7 months pregnant, want an abortion, no big deal

Due date is next week and the mother changed her mind? No problem.

How far will the left go to legalize the killing of children? At 8 months gestation that is a baby.

We as a society need to step back, pause and think about what we are doing. Why are we waging a war on children? Who in their right mind can rationalize killing a baby at 7 or 8 months gestation?

When was the rant you had at God for causing abortions(spontaneous) ?

This is why I don't post here much any more. Right wing poster starts a thread based on inaccurate information if not flat out lies. Left posters argue with his opinions and don't check his facts.

The Fox News article he quoted says this:

"his bill that would override the laws banning late-term abortions"

This is a lie or at best misleading. The bill says this:

Other Prohibitions.--The following restrictions on the
performance of abortion are unlawful and shall not be imposed or
applied by any government:

(1) A prohibition or ban on abortion prior to fetal
viability.
(2) A prohibition on abortion after fetal viability when,
in the good-faith medical judgment of the treating physician,
continuation of the pregnancy would pose a risk to the pregnant
woman's life or health.

https://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/senate-bill/1696/text

All this bill does is prohibit states from imposing arbitrary, medically unnecessary hurdles to abortion. It does not stop states from banning abortion after fetal viability, unless it involves life or health of the mother.

It's a good bill BTW. I strongly support it.

A lot of us checked his facts and called him out on it.

I paid my child support. It ended in May when my daughter turned 18.

Does not mean I am not bitter about being used as slave labor.

I'm personally not in favor of requiring fathers to pay child support if they want to sever all ties with their child. Not that that applies to you, given that you got to be a father to your child.

But coming from you it's totally hypocritical no matter what the father's involvement would be. What with your constant "women need to take responsibility for their children" arguments. You seriously can't have it both ways here. Pick a side and be consistent. I know it's hard for you.

Why do you hate rights?

Do you believe everyone is created equal? That everyone is endowed with certain rights? That we do not have to do anything to earn our rights as they are granted to us?

If you believe that, then the rights are granted at the time of creation.

Rights are not granted when we are born. Rights are not granted after we finish high school or serve in the military, if you are straight, blonde, white, rich,,,,,or anything else.

We as a society can not set a standard for when rights are granted and when we are entitled to our rights.

Granting rights at the time of birth are no different that saying gays do not deserve equal rights, or blacks do not deserve equal rights.

Rights have to be granted at the time of creation.

So you make a thread that's blatantly wrong, and now that you're called on it is back to the same tired language you've repeated over and over again uses to oppose all abortions.

Yawn.

But oddly, your oearlier stance said that abortion is totally fair game before brain or heart activity, which you claimed was around 20 days IIRC. In other words, you were a proponent of viability at a different point. But these days you're instead spouting this nonsensical argument about time of creation and the Declaration of Independence. And last time I called you on this you ignored it, of course. You sound like Glenn Beck. You should get a radio show already.

The thread subject and title were taken directly from the foxnews article.

I even bolded the part of the quote I was referring to with the title.

I changed my stance.
