Welcome back!

Since a few months ago, Deimos, the site administrator, lacks the necessary time to take care of the website, because of personal matters he's been needing to attend to. For this reason, he has decided to leave the site staff.

Before leaving, he assigned a new site administrator from among his friends to take care of the site. The old moderator team will continue helping with the site, unchanged. We will try to keep running everything just as it always has been.

The trackers and website seem to be working properly, and should any issues arise, they will be taken care of as soon as possible. The site might be going on and offline over the next days as we work out any problems.

Welcome back, and enjoy your stay!

Just tor proxy the tracker connection. You can still download the data full-speed, but as far as the tracker is concerned, you're somewhere in Germany.

What made Demonoid awesome is that it had some pretty obscure content, and a lot of free/public domain stuff (classical music, independent/unsigned bands sharing their own albums, etc.).

If I ever wanted to find something really obscure, Demonoid rarely let me down.

There were a number of times I'd thought "it would be cool if I could find x" and sure enough, it was already there, or showed up within a few weeks without me having to make a request.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. I'll probably log back in and check for easy stuff until there's some proof that it's "clean."

I've left some trackers running since it went down, and they've showed continuous activity. But I too am hesitant to log in lest it be a trap set by Admiral Ackbar.

Meh, I've moved on to news groups.

STFU about NGS:lips:

No doubt! Don't worry Goose, I've laid out the rules in my signature. Now everyone will know not to talk about newsgroups.

LOL
This is so funny.

Its like a new crack dealer opening up on the block.
"Should we go buy from him ? I dunno man, it might be the police out to set a trap"

I've gotten letters from some 'organizations' before because of torrents.
My lawyer used them for mulch.

Just saw the email I got yesterday regarding this. Figured I'd give this thread a midday bump.

Accounts will be restored for those who asked.
