I :heart: Demonoid. Despite it scheduling its maintenance usually around the time of night when I want to look for something.

Some torrents on the tracker are public, some are private and you need to have an account to see those. It's an option the uploader can set. Most stuff is public since I think that's the default setting. I haven't uploaded a torrent there in forever so I can't remember, could be different now.
 
Nope, it's gotten way too public. or at least it was when I was actively using it. I got one of the MPAA emails (for an ET dvdrip, heh) and since then I've kept my downloading (other than music) to small, ~10k user limit and invite only torrent sites.
 
I used to use it alot, but I have moved on to a better, more private tracker that has everything I want, alot more than what Demonoid ever did. Demonoid stat tracking sucks anyway, it never recorded my stats but like twice.

The more people on a torrent the better for all, right?

It depends, there is such a thing as too many people, which is part of why I dont care for demonoid anymore as it has gotten too big and with open registration on fridays, its technically considered a public tracker. A private tracker is by invite only, no open registration at all. Its all about knowing the right people to get involved, luckily I found one of the right people. And no, im not divulging what my tracker of choice is. 😀
 
Last time i was on Demonoid, it was basically crap, but that's likely changed.

I'm happy w/ PS, TB, TL, WB, FL, RT, & TT 😉

great place to get EP's and full length dvds at dvd quality...you didnt hear it from me though 😀
