DEMON MOUSE

Today I was eating dinner when I saw some movement in my backyard. After looking at it for a while I realize its a mouse that is flopping around like its having a seizure or something. After I finished dinner I got a shovel and hit the mouse to put it out of its misery and let it continue its journey to the air conditioner in the sky. I went to go put the shovel back and get a plastic bag to put it in, but when I came back it wasn't there. *shurg*

Fast forward to a few minutes ago....

I was going to go for a walk. The sun set a while ago so it was dark outside. I opened the door, took a step outside, and I heard a crunching sound. I went back and turned on the porchlight. The light revealed that the crunching sound was me stepping on the body of the mouse I had killed earlier :Q :Q :Q

I think it is trying to kill me. What should I do?

P.S. I have dead mouse on my shoe also.

Thanks for the tips. I did all of the above and I put minefield of mousetraps around my bed also.

I put it out of its misery
