The troops *I* want on the border would be quite armed. The next time some rogue elements of the Mexican military crossed that border I'd make a vapor cloud out of their ass.

You don't see reports of that from the mainstream media, do you? In case you think my sources aren't credible, just google it for yourself, there's tons from which to choose.

I'm sure you'd be leading those troops from the front right rambo?

I was asking if the troops the republicans are trying to send will have authority to stop illegals not your fantasy soldiers.

Put down the crack pipe.

The 1200 troops being sent is a PR brigade - probaly sent to cover for fact Al-Shabaab was crossing boder .

US troops won't be used to stop illegal immigration: US

US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday. The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants.
President Barack Obama on Tuesday authorized the deployment of up to 1,200 additional troops to border areas but State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, "It's not about immigration."

I didn't realize the Dems were busy with anything other than homosexualizing the military today. No troops for the border but homosexuals for the military. A normal person can't vote for that party anymore.

Your post makes your user icon quite ironic.

And it's not like you would ever think about voting for a Democrat anyways.

Its not like you would ever think about NOT voting for a Democrat

Actually, I voted for several Republicans when I lived in Texas.
Not for president mind you (I didn't think that GW Bush was that great of a Texas Governor, and made a rather poor president), but for state and local positions.
To tell you the truth I'm not impressed with the people California has in congress either or state assembly, but the front running Republicans I have no interest for. Would you want to vote for Meg Whitman or Carly Fiorina?

Keep on believing that I'm some type of left-wing nutjob because I disagreed with you on something or another.
Unlike some people around here I try and think and decide for myself on issues.

Exactly

Ok, we know the 1,200 troops are powerless and part of a PR move that's well established. Now what about the 6,000 additional troops McCain and friends want?
