The troll thread about how R's love stupid Americans got me thinking, who do Democrats love? I believe I came up with the answer.

If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? James 2:15-16

Lefties hate jesus but they act like him anyway, lulz

Democrats love anyone who hates republicans. That's why the party is a disjointed mess incapable of getting anything done.

And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

That would be nice if the real world was like this. However, democrats seem to want to tax me out the wazoo and enable people to remain in poverty, all the while skimming millions of tax dollars for pet projects in their districts so the people re-elect them. At least the Republicans are honest about wasting our money.

Don't confuse Democrats and liberals with Progressives. There is a big difference. Dems and liberals can disagree with those with opposing points of view. They can discuss and work out their differences.

With Progressives there will be no compromise. Some may find the article below interesting.

How do you attain total commitment to a goal from a free people? Well, you don't. Some percentage will always disagree, even if only for the sake of being contrary or out of a desire to be left alone. When considering a program as comprehensive as a government-planned economy, there are undoubtedly countless points of contention, such as how we will choose the planners, how we will order our priorities when assigning them importance within the plan, how we will allocate resources when competing interests have legitimate claims, who will make these decisions, and perhaps more pertinent to our discussion, how those decisions will be enforced. A rift forming on even one of these issues is enough to bring the gears of this progressive endeavor grinding to a halt. This fatal flaw in the collectivist design cannot be reengineered. It is an error so critical that the entire ideology must be scrapped.

Von Hayek accurately foretold the fate that would befall dissenters from the plan. They simply could not be allowed to get in the way. Opposition would soon be treated as subversion, with debate shriveling to non-existence under the glare of the state. Those who refused compliance would first be marginalized, then dehumanized, and finally (failing re-education) eliminated. Collectivism and individualism cannot long share the same bed. They are political oil and water, and neither can compromise its position without eventually succumbing to the other. The history of the twentieth century is littered with the remains of those who became "enemies of the state" for merely drawing attention to this flaw. As Von Hayek predicted, the socialist vision would not be achieved without bloodshed.

Progressives love anyone they can control.

Dems generally don't hate historical philosophical Jesus. They hate the fake deified religious Jesus.

After the previous administration made so many Americans poor and helpless, you'd think the Dems would have an easier time at things then.

You can be poor and helpless, just tell your dad to stop sending the checks, then the D's will love you and you'll stop feeling so left out.

If the Hamiltonian Democrats love the poor, then why are they corporatist? Why are they inflationist if they love the poor?

Better yet, why don't Rockefeller and Obama give away more of their own money or set up their own charity than support the Federal Reserve and tax people into poverty?

I really wish people would quit associating Democrats with caring about the poor. Except for a select few, they hate the poor.

If someone works for and gets paid by a charitable organization, is that charity?
If someone works for and doesn't get paid by a charitable organization, is that charity?
