Start holding people in inherent contempt. Arrest and fine them until they comply.

The time to stop fucking around and pretending like everything is basically normal was over a while ago.

Being a Vietnam War participant and watching/hearing of friends going to war getting maimed/killed "for who knows what" <---(at the ripe old age of 18 and prioritizing girls, cars, guitars and surfing first and foremost) I get a rash every time some warmonger finagles their way into top leadership and starts the ball rolling again toward risking my friends and now my friend's children and grandchildren's lives for the singular purpose of gaining political advantage over the other party.

If Bolton and his ilk would like to risk the precious lives of our military just so he can feel the rush of having so much military power at his disposal then he should get right in there in the thick of battle risking his own life and those of his loved ones when the ordnance gets airborne and targeted right at his nose. Maybe then he'd understand what an arrogant and stupid and selfish and inhuman and despicably evil man he is to have others fight his battles for his own needs and......ahhh shit, bastards like that will always start wars so long as their own lives aren't at stake.

Fvcking cowards the lot of them.

Actually I'm not sure they're wrong. At worst it's a small waste of time. But really a big part of the problem is people who have the capacity to know better voluntarily putting their heads in the sand. I think it's the public that needs that reading more than anyone, but that's unrealistic. Even still, it's unrealistic that they'll either be capable of seeing past their pre-conceived impressions or be willing to pay close enough attention to challenge them. This is why Barr's summary and press conference were so heinous. Even legitimate sources took some time to realize that Barr was uttering complete nonsense and to report on Mueller's findings as they were. Thus, non-Trumpists mostly got isolated from the true reality of what is happening in Washington, and presenting new information that contradicts with whatever they've already organized in their minds is a tall order. https://theoatmeal.com/comics/believe

I'm not, uh, up in arms quite yet, with Congress. They want testimony, and in my opinion, they know just how dangerous right-wing authoritarians are, and want to make sure that if/when they go to Impeach, they'll have everyone else's support, minus the frothing right-wing authoritarians.

Every move at this point is to rein in someone who wants to reign. It's a very delicate maneuver if they want to do it efficiently and effectively while also avoiding as much bloodshed as possible. Remember, Strongman Trump has already labeled investigating him as a COUP, just as some of his open collaborators have done right here in these forums. By calling legal investigations a COUP, Strongman Trump is trying to get his right-wing authoritarians in the mindset that any further investigations are unlawful, illegal, and believe it or not, a violent act.

All so Strongman Trump and his collaborators can start using their second amendment rights to water the tree of liberty, or whatever non-sense they say as a euphemism for murdering their fellow Americans who disagree with them politically. The tell is by understanding that just about everything Strongman Trump and his right-wing authoritarian collaborators say about the media/Demoncrats/libruuuls, is actual projection, and is the very thing that they are doing.

Throwing around the COUP word is a very open call for volunteers to become violent to oppose any further investigations. Classic eliminationist rhetoric. And right-wing authoritarians, some of whom come here and talk openly about the COUP, are being prepared as we speak.

I get the anger, but the House, and in part, the Senate, has to be seen doing everything by the book, otherwise it gives Strongman Trump and his collaborators just enough of an excuse to speed up their slow-motion coup.

Let Strongman Trump and his fascists continue openly breaking the law, while Congress repeats calls for Impeachment. Every ignored subpoena is just another notch on the Impeachment bedpost of a bed that Strongman Trump and Friends are currently making.

If Strongman Trump continues defying Congress after they have given him and his fellow criminals plenty of time to respond to legal Congressional inquiries, then it is time to immediately Impeach.

Bring back the draft for wars, male and female, rich or poor, no exceptions, then see who really wants to fight wars.

Many times the best way to stop stupidity is to make those promoting it partake in its consequences including their own families and friends.
