Hey welcome to reality folks, the press care more about what the president is doing than the majority leader, whether it's Clinton or Bush.

Just like the Republicans. You guys think you are any better? Ha! I remember Trent Lott and Delay acting like major league Asses during the Elian Gonzales debacle. Of course, when they realized that the American people weren't supporting their position and that they were exposing themselves as Petty Partisan Politico's to those who didn't already know, they and their bellicose Republican cohorts backed down like weasels coming face to face with an angry badger in a borough. Of course, they also allowed the Democrats (except Clinton) to take the higher ground, an option they don't happen to have now.

As it stands now, The Dems can whine all they want, as long as the economy is on the road to recovery and as long as Bush keeps with his moderate ways of late, all their attempts to grandstand will either be relegated to the back page of most major news publications or end up as an occasional "Gee Willikers Look at them" post at ATOT from some neglected Republican ATOT member looking for a little recognition from his like minded Republican ATOT members.

To put it simply, Who Cares???

I agree 100%. The American People hate sniveling Whiners. That's why the Republicans ratings were so low during the Clinton Impeachment and the Elian Gonzales Debacle.

Personally I think the American People are so surprised and delighted at Bushes Performance so far (I know I am) that there really isn't much the Dems could say against him without hurting their own image. It also helps the Republicans that Red Asses like Trent Lott have been successfully muzled by the Whitehouse. If the Dems were smart they'd concentrate on the more reviled members of Bush's Cabinet like John Ashcroft. In fact he's probably the only reviled member. Hey what do you expect when you have to compomise your choices to appease the fringe element of your party.
