1. Rebuild your party image: People do not like inner-city lazy homies that collects welfare, correct that image and try not to piss too many of the constituents off.

2. Stop being so anti-god. This election showed us how years of messing with christians ended up with, 4 more years of shrub.

3. Gay marriage and gay rights should never be a priorities when other issues are at stake, i.e. education, jobs, economy, etc.

4. Reassociate with rural America, understand what's important for them and mend the fear and anxiety between city people and rural people.

5. Supress the radicals and keep them from taking over the party.

And please, weaken bush's 2nd term with whatever ways you can find, scandals, block his nominees, etc. Bush clearly has shown an unwillingness to listen to anybody that has a different opinion with him. You cannot work with Bush, so stand up to him. Run ads, show the people what he has done to this country and weaken his presidency. Bush is acting as if he has a mandate, he needs to be stopped and democrats need to do the right thing to stop him.

Distinguish yourselves from radicals. Supress the opposition within your own party, convince them that these things take time and things won't change overnight. Like someone already mentioned in previous threads, what they do in gay parades scares the sh!t out of middle america and they're doing no good to their cause.

Push for a messy conflict in Iran.

Hell, even the Dub mentioned today that he wants to bring freedom to the greater Middle East. All he needs is a reason to invade...and not even a real one. The American people are ready to go to war no matter how shaky the *intelligence* is.

With your comment about the Dub wanting to bring freedom to the Middle East, are you assuming that the only way Bush can introduce freedom there is via military force?

I have repeatedly, and sincerely, congratulated President Bush and his supporters on their win, although I am not a fan and voted for Kerry. I don't need to hear, nor do I particularly care about, the self-serving opinions of a bunch of anonymous laypeople on the Internet about how my party has lost its way.

Regardless of their intentions, these threads are ultimately trolling, because all they do is attract :thumbsup: from conservatives, and when a liberal tries to respond in a serious way, he is rebutted with an immediate "That's the exactly what I was talking about - thanks for proving my point about how heedless and arrogant liberals are!," and, in turn, yet more :thumbsup:s.

I'm not made about this one because of the writer. I'm mad because there are several of these same threads floating around here with same information in them. People start threads assuming they were the first one to come up with the topic - even though it has been discussed in depth over the past few days.

I'm just taking the same position as DonVito with regards to some of these threads here. Many of them are "same old, same old" and have little value.

 
The very idea that Bush thinks bringing freedom to the Middle East will ensure a safer America is utter Bullsh!t and only sheeps will agree with him.

How'd you like Iraqis elect a radical leader and fvck with America? Bush has not worked with diplomacy at all, no matter what he tells you. The way to lessen the hatred against America is to educate the world. Muslims are probably being fed anti-American propaganda daily and the only way achieve peace is to have them understand that Americans are not the devils Osama is trying to paint us to be.
 
No no, I think this man should be heard out. Afterall, his views are now represented by the majority and if history has taught us nothing else, it has taught as that the more people that think, look, act, smell like you the more smart you are!

Well after the democrats had their ass handed to them in yet another election, one would think democratic party politics might be up for discussion. I guess I am wrong, but that means 2006 will be alot easier.
 
Do nothing. We're in the right. We believe in freedom and equality for all. We don?t hate Gays, nor Blacks nor Women or them keeping their choice. If not for 100,000 Ohio votes, Kerry would be President. Then no one here (at least Democrats) would be crying. Have you ever heard Ted Kennedy speak on freedom and rights of all. He's right on. That?s the party I belong to. The worse thing we could do is morph into a Repubucrat.
Our task now for the next four years is the same as it was for the last four, keep exposing Bush for what he is. A huge liar. And remember, its way too hard to win against a sitting President, and add the war to that, and its a high hill to climb. Just go ask Bob Dole. With all Clinton's ills, he won re election too.
The fact that Arlen Spector is on GW's case tells me they see thru him too.

Democrats definitely need a leader. Kerry was not a leader.

I guess some of you don't understand what a democrat is viewed as by other people. If you understand what is at stake maybe democrats will start winning other states again, go figure.
 
Kerry was (is) a leader. A true war hero. He certainly deserves to be called a hero and deserved to be President. Kerry's problem is he had poor advice around him. Clinton had the best people around him, when he ran. Kerry didnt seem to know where to find them. Look at Clinton's "war room" back in 92. Most of those advisors and now famous in their own right. Kerry was the right choice, he just lacked the right people to work with him. That must be hard to do, finding good, strong people. His failed him.

You are on to something here. This race was notably lacking in attack ads compared to previous races. This truly astounds me considering just how bad the President Select is.
