The Left would have to be batshit crazy to try and push any type of gun "reform" legislation. There is basically zero Reality reason for doing so, and it'd only cost them political capitol. They'd be far better off going for immigration "reform".

Has Obama even hinted at gun control? I think he mentioned supporting an assault weapons ban, but that's about it.

I'm hoping for real health care reform.

Oh, I doubt he'll expend political cap on it. I wouldn't be surprised, after they get through this little 'fiscal cliff' fiasco, that they take on immigration "reform", given the demographics of the 2012 elections. Latino Leadership will be beating at the Dem's door for payback on the election support, and the Dem's will be only too happy to cash that check.

The liberals have been bitching about the House for the past 2 years blocking Obama
Now they are crowing about how there is going to be a chicken in every pot and soak the rich programs courtesy of the election "Mandate".
They fail to realize that the election mandate is skewed by the EC, not the popular vote. And the House is still in the same condition it was on Monday.

The crowing of the liberals is overwhelming the logic of the conservative extremists. Look at the thread title itself

if it was true..

in the real world Obama got Bob Dole's healthcare plan passed, took out Bin Laden, mostly got us out of a fruitless war in Iraq, stimulated the economy to 31 months of growth..

And wants to work to reduce the deficit in a balanced way, but has been blocked by Republicans in Congress.

Fortunately, we've got the House in GOP control to keep Obama in check. And the Senate is balanced, will be hard to push much of his liberal agenda through it.

Still, if we get through the next 4 years without any significant damage, I'll be surprised.
