Holy shit, dems did a lot beside "not being trump." God you fucking people are morons and now we have to watch the country crumple because of dumb fucking Americans like you two.

Biden had the first effective FTC and NRLB since before Reagan, but sure he was "neoliberal." I'm sorry he didn't come to your house and wipe your ass for you, but he did a lot of shit in an incredibly hostile environment and got no fucking credit for any of it. Largely because his own base was too busier regurgitating right wing talking points they saw on social media.

"I don't really care, do you?"

Doesn't matter, Dems aren't winning any elections in the foreseeable future. Their entire brand is toxic. Bill Maher was right on his most recent show, the Dems' incompetence has made "Trump look cool."

The only person in their party saying the correct things right now (AOC) isn't even electable. They are fucking done.

Why is this always the dems fault for the gop putting a rapists, racists, felon on the ticket

It's on the dems that they didnt mitigate this media blackout up front, it was coming miles away and everyone could see it.

What platforms are left to distribute the factual information upon which the voter is supposed to inform themselves? Outside a few fading cable news networks, what is left? I think maybe youtube is not putting its thumb on the scale, yet, and then what? BlueSky?

It is a near total media blackout. And dems did nothing to prevent it.

Dems wont be ALLOWED to win another election, the information necessary for such an event to actualized will never reach the voting population again.

Dem's fault for not having younger more populist candidates. For not being honest about President Biden's age and health. For not holding a primary to find a POPULAR candidate to replace him.
Beyond that is the greater media landscape.

Dem's fault for not embracing AOC and recruiting more people like her. For clinging onto the old rich fossils that have insider stocks and bribes, who use slow measured language. Who probably need help using a PC or social media.
Dems' fault for not speaking truth to power. For having crumpets and tea with insurrectionists even as their Billionaires give Nazi Salutes while directly telling Germany it needs fascism again.

GOP has nothing to do with the weakness of Democrats. It's a race for appeal and we gotta step up in our own way. Democrat leadership stands between us and a new path forward.

That we can still speak of Bernie Sanders is the problem. He should have been lost in a sea of populists ready to pick up that flag and run with it. The torch needs to be passed.

Yep.

Nobody is excusing the voters, or the Nazi Trump party, or the shitty Media. The Democrats aren't playing on a level playing field. They have a disadvantage. But that being said, we can still hold then responsible for being terrible at their jobs.

They could have beat Trump if they were better. This election was not unwinnable. And this post sums it up quite nicely

It's the Democrats fault they hid Biden's decline. Who else's fault could that be? It's theirs. They own it. They own everything else in this post.

We have a lot of democratic apologists here and that's just sad because that just encourages the same bullshit behavior.

How? Why? Doesn't really matter now.

What does matter is you have to be on a antagonistic footing as they come for your rights and you.

What you need is someone with venom in their voice like Jon Stewart or somone willing to burn it all down because if your hope is the dems.. you've already lost.

For the Dems this is just business as usual where they'll just look to get "donations" to supposedly fight Trump but just pocket it themselves to get rich. Pelosi looking to make another 200 mil in the stock market with insider info.

Just save yourself the pain and move overseas already if you think dems will save you.

Your obsession with Jon Stewart is getting creepy.

I'm not giving up. I'm going to keep emailing Dems to step up, and I have a NJ gubernatorial primary to win and then the race in November. Just because I can call out the Dems for their failures, doesn't mean I'm an idiot and am not going to still do what I can to put the best option in offices that matter.

So lemme get this right.. you want not feckless in a party that requires you to be feckless or promptly shuts you down like they did to Bernie.

Bernie is too fucking old.. so yes I'll go with Jon Stewart who's not quite 80 but not quite 40 either where he comes across as too young and naive.

BTW I don't mean to poke fun at you but I am going to poke fun at your action.. LOL @ the emails.. you think they listen?

What exactly....

This year New Jersey is electing a new governor. That means a Democrats have a primary. I want to help who I think is the best candidate to win that primary. And then I want to help the Democrats defeat the Republican for the governorship in November. Pretty simple.

It's very important to get the best Democratic candidate to run for governor. And even if the best one doesn't win, It's still extremely important to defeat the Republican in November. So either way I'm going to support the Democrats. Even while I give them very valid criticism.

We have two choices right now. It's as simple as that. And one is pure evil and one is not.

Come on people. Issues count. The Dems lost on the economy, the border, over-emphasis on DEI/gender issues, and yes, Biden's failure to resign and allow a real primary. It may not be politically correct to say it, and I know I will get a lot of hate from the usual suspects on this forum, but it is the truth IMO, and I will stick by it. The Dems are lost until they really get in touch with the voters. Three of the four of these issues were within the Dems control, and they failed miserably in response to all of them. The economy was mostly an unfortunate aftermath of the Covid crisis, and I dont know if they could have done much about it, although I still think their response could have been better.

They totally failed to control the border until the very end when Biden took steps to do so, but it was too little, too late, obviously political, and made him look like a liar when he said before nothing could be done. And their messaging was terrible. What was their response to crime by migrants? "Well, crime is lower in migrants than in the general population". What a crass, dismissive, insensitive response. They should have expressed sympathy, said any crime is too much, and vowed to solve the problem within all legal boundaries. As for DEI/gender issues, most are valid protections, but as things tend to do, they let the pendulum swing too far, and overemphasized these issues instead of what the voters really cared about. Hell, I think the voters were even getting tired of Kamala's endless harping of how Republicans were going to take away reproductive rights. Biden's failure to step down is obvious, but I still think Kamala would have gotten the nomination (could they resist an African American, woman candidate? I dont think so.) Harris was the sitting VP, and checked all the diversity boxes. I think the chances are extremely high she would have been the nominee. (and also have been proof the Dems value political correctness/identity politics more than doing what it takes to win: i.e. nominate a white, male candidate who is not clearly mentally incompetent to do the duties of the office.)

The US had by far the lowest inflation and strongest recovery of any G7 nation. It's not even close. As usual the American electorate believes in the free lunch (in this case Trump will make it 2019/20 prices again while you keep your 2024 wages). Instead they're probably going to get turbo austerity via impoundment, skyrocketing prices (thanks to tariffs and deportation), higher unemployment, and declining wages.

There is certainly some non-negligible degree of messaging failure by Biden and Co here. Sticking his name on the checks would have been good, same with putting giant fucking signs you can see from space saying "Paid for By JOE BIDEN!" on every single project in the country that got a dime under CARES/Infra deal/IRA. Though some extent a lot of people simply decided they would believe in magic and vote for Trump instead and that's ultimately difficult to counter.

Actually yes when certain representatives get lots of calls and emails on one point of view they do consider it. I mean you don't really know how things work dude. You still crowing on about Jon Stewart. He's a podcaster a comedian a commentator and a TV show host. He's not a fucking politician and he said he's not interested. Like seriously, the only thing to joke at here is you invested in some weird little fantasy.

Harris would have gotten her teeth kicked in during a primary just like she did in 2020. Which is probably why the Democrats ran interference for Biden pretending he was all there so they could get their handpicked candidate in once it was too late for a primary. At the very least Harris would have come in behind both Shapiro and Whitmer.

Yeah early on I thought Shapiro was the right choice. Kamala started off strong but her boring side ultimately took over.

AOC is the most electable member of the DNC IMO. She's one of the few Democrats that voters don't associate with the corrupt DC establishment. Though being left of center the party itself hates her and the liberal media will try to kill her candidacy like they did Bernie.

I don't really like Shapiro the politician but it would have been a hack to win with his popularity in PA, which would have likely crossed over to MI and WI too. Well, if he would have come out against Biden and the genocide in Palestine during the general. Kamala had Biden's stink all over her and was never going to be able to escape it and would have already been a weak candidate even without it.

When you find all these leftist in this country, let me know.
Why is it so funny when I point out people hating what's viewed as the DC establishment? I think it's ridiculous because he's the biggest cog in the corrupt GOP machine, but a lot of voters seem to view Trump as a hand grenade to it. While AOC is legitimately anti-establishment. Do you really not believe that American voters absolutely hate our political system?

You are confused by looking at our media. Nothing has really changed except for massive amount of mis and disinformation by billionaires. Dems need to do one thing. Buy a social media platform to fight this.

Or they could try actually doing popular policy on healthcare, minimum wage, education, maternity leave, vacation, etc like the rest of the rich nations of the west have done instead of trying to make an echo chamber online. But liberals will come and say I want the government to wipe my ass because I want a healthcare system paid for by our taxes and getting rid of the insurance middleman who takes his tribute and has more control than my doctor over the treatment I get.
