I find it ironic that someone is critical of "liars," then quotes me, adding words to said quote knowing full well I didn't say them.

I don't engage with people who blatantly mislead.

This is the problem. how do we fuel growth in the tech sector with a workforce that looks like this.

I am a single issue voter.

Thank you. I didn't think you would stoop to that level.

You are new here, and I like what I have seen so far from you, so I am going to explain this to you instead of getting pissed off the way I normally do with people that get so easily offended by shit on the internet.

That was a mistake by me. I didn't edit that quote into your post. I have a Chrome extension that does it automatically that I forgot about. As soon as you mentioned it I went back and edited it out and apologized.

I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me for this HUGE transgression and move on.

I am not sure I can believe this graph. Is CA really that low on the tech scale?

California has 2-3 (if you separate SD from LA metro area) very large city/metro areas.

Other than that, the vast majority of the state is rural farmland. Oh and tons of low-education immigrants/illegals/whatever.

I absolutely accept. I have no problem with playing rough, but I do take exception to people putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. I imagine you would feel the same.

I can appreciate mistakes. (Though, what kind of Chrome extension adds text???) You handled yourself accordingly

As for putting words in peoples mouths, I understand your concern. I hate it when people misrepresent my positions with a passion. However, when it comes to the old "mess with people's posts when quoting them trick" I'm actually pissed off that they made this completely harmless potential source of great humor against the rules. I mean, the original post is right there where it was, undefiled, if anyone gets confused about what the original post actually was. It's truly a shame.

You're being played by a 20 year running FUD campaign.

I get that part, but I don't exactly think she's a saint, either. She seemed to genuinely want to address all these progressive issues during the debate last night but how much of that is just lip service? I honestly don't know.

LOL

uh huh. 20 year fud campaign by let me guess a vast right wing?

by no means is she what the GOP claim. BUT she is also not what she claims. She is NOT trustworthy. That is what many have issues with.

just the insane have all the bengazhi, the hillerygate etc.

It's Billary. If her lips were moving, she was lip servicing for whatever goal she was working towards (in this case, votes).

I wish I could trust Hillary, because she is really killing it tonight. As much as I like Bernie for his domestic policy, he doesn't seem like he has a good grasp on foreign policy. Then again, I honestly don't care all that much about foreign policy. It's too bad that the GOP has spent so much time flinging shit at Hillary because now it's so difficult to figure out what the real issues with her are.

I'm definitely conflicted on the Hilary v. Bernie question.

As far as Hillary goes, she's been angling to get into the White House for 25 years. Vox (I think) has pointed out how quickly she shifts per positions for political expedience. That probably bothers me the most. Next is her vote for the the Iraq War (yes, I know it was technically just an authorization to use force if the administration decided it was necessary, but everyone knew where it was going). I will never forgive her for that, but that doesn't mean I can't vote for her.

Bernie is right on the money when it comes to taxes and some other issues (environment, foreign policy). But I really don't like that he's an outsider. It's one thing to sit there in a senate seat and cast protest votes and preach from the pulpit, but infighting is a totally different skillset. I actually don't think Hillary is a great infighter either, but I think she's better than Bernie. I also don't like his vilification of the financial industry. I don't think it helps anything. There are places where regulation is needed, and it should be put in place, but vilifying people gets us nowhere.

I'm probably leaning Hillary at this point. I definitely appreciate the effect that Bernie has had on the political discourse though.

This is exactly the type of hyperbole that backfires. If you can't acknowledge that she might be telling the truth sometimes, all of your claims of dishonesty get discarded.

You can't be serious. The right has been trying to smear the Clintons since Whitewater. I don't see how anyone can say otherwise with a straight face.

Billary was a meme that started during the Clinton administrations to mock her for actually trying to accomplish something and not staying in her place.

It's like when people called Obama uppity, it's code. I don't think anyone using language like that is worth listening to.

Oh, you misunderstand. She of course will be telling the truth (or an accurate enough version of it anyways) at least some of the time. The problem is, she is so shifty, so untrustworthy, so slick, there is zero way of knowing when that is. Given that (and, that's a given, not a possible given), since there is no way to know when the liar/misleader is actually lying/misleading, you just have to assume if her lips are moving, she's running the con.

I'm a fairly conservative guy with some issues I'm to the left on (abortion, proper social services ((actually I think a lot of conservatives are for properly run social services)), National ID, some others), and I'd love to have Bernie over Hillary. I'd vote Bernie over Trump if it comes down to that, and Trump actually at least speaks lip service to shutting down the preposterous illegal invasion southern border, which is probably my #1 pet peeve in all of Fed Gov. Hillary is simply a non-starter for me - not because she's a woman, because she's Billary. She's made her own bed, now she should have to sleep in it...

See above.
