I was watching the clip again today and it is downright nasty when she says "slum lord in inner city Chicago" while jabbing her finger to booes and hisses. I love it.

It was pretty nasty. I love it when Obama brought up her corporate lawyer work for Wal-Mart :laugh:

She's going to have to quit with that line of attack.

Except that he's the least corporatized candidate of the three, who says the best things.

I want to see more of him, not less. He's not perfect and not my first choice, but he's currently my first choice of those three.

Hopefully, his important message will catch on more, despite his having a lot fewer donations - good for policy, bad for winning elections, unfortunately.

Craig, the problem with Edwards isn't his message. It's the fact that he's a trial lawyer, which makes his message questionable at best.

Not that I doubt the sincerity of the guy on his agenda.

I'm not implying she did anything wrong, just that she (clearly and certainly) represented a lot of businesses that are not favorites among diehard Democrats. I always felt the Whitewater/Rose Law Firm accusations were a witch hunt, and still do.

I think the problem with Edwards is that his potential base is limited. I am not sitting here crying over the sob stories he gives (and shamelessly repeats, almost word-for-word), and I don't see the government as a charity like he does. It can be his life's work, he can have taken no special interest money (though those kind of claims are always dubious), that's great.. he should start a charity organization.

Maybe it's because I myself am a trial lawyer, but I think the public distrust of lawyers is kind of silly, particularly compared to some of the non-lawyer political shills out there (Romney is a current example of a politician who seems completely and comprehensively willing to say whatever he thinks people want to hear - I don't know that even he knows what he believes in anymore).

Oh I agree. Lawyers aren't any worse than the other boogeymen 😉

Most watched debate in cable news history. Surprises me, I didn't even know about it. Just stumbled upon it really.

I'm hoping this bodes well for Obama, I thought his Wal-Mart attack came off smoothly and Clinton's slum lord was dirty and cheap, especially because she framed it exactly how Obama had framed his attack. Then again I'm a supporter so my interpretation is biased, but the boos and hisses can't be wrong!
