The nation's only female Hispanic gay sheriff was reported to have resigned by the Dallas County Democratic chair so she can focus on her run governor was a bit premature. Her spokesperson then denied the resignation was submitted and the local judge confirmed no resignation letter was received.
These reports were from Wed 11/29 and as of 12/01, she still has not officially announced her resignation...
The deadline to file for the 2018 primary is Dec 11...
