Constitutionally upheld Federal election law trumps state election law. Or can Michigan election officials usurp the power of the SCOTUS?

In the simplest terms- Want some cheese with that Libertopian whine?

please link supreme court ruling.

Typical michal1980 post, not even on topic in his own thread.

Relevant SCOTUS precedent says this is the right decision.

right. your just like the idiot conyers who believes illegals are just 'new Americans'

The left knows no boundaries of election fraud.

The ACLU said "the law that puts requirements on people gathering petition signatures is unconstitutional, noting that a similar law in Ohio was struck down by a federal appeals court in 2008." The judge agreed.

From the link in post #19.

My mistake for referencing the SCOTUS directly. Cases often die at the appeals court level when appellants see no chance with the SCOTUS, and I'm sure that's the way Ohio approached it. Federal legal precedent supports Conyers.

Crap son you quoted michal's boogeyman the ACLU there. That Ohio ruling is part of a vast liberal plot.

aclu fighting against Americans for decades.

Its obvious by the lefts continued attack on election law that they have no interest in clean and fair elections.

This old geezer couldn't even do something as simple as checking if his employees were following the law.

So you lefties have no problems with the Kochs spending there money on elections? Got it, I hope to never hear from you on them again. Because that is truly settled law.

This law hasn't been tested by the supreme court.

But everyone knows the left doesn't care about election law, you will fight dirty, and illegal every single time.

Requirements on those collecting signatures on a petition is in no way comparable to people donating huge sums of money to influence elections. A federal court ruled that it was unconstitutional to bar individuals who were not themselves registered voters from collecting signatures. Thus, petitions collected that had been thrown out by the state were reinstated, and Conyers then met the state-mandated threshold of 1000 signatures.

In the same way, various federal courts have suspended state laws mandating that would-be voters present an approved ID in order to vote. Thus, registered voters can vote even without IDs in those states, at least until such time as the voter ID laws are fully adjudicated. But according to you, voters who vote without IDs while the law is suspended are "above the law."

By your reasoning, ANY law that's overturned or suspended by a federal court should still be obeyed. In effect, you're telling us that the federal court system is meaningless.

There's lots to see here! We have on display the poster child for why democrats will continue to win your elections. On display is one of the most pitiful pieces of stupid shit I have ever smelled steaming from across the ocean. People seem to spend way too much time trying to converse with an illiterate, home schooled, pimpled faced obvious troll with a raging hard on for his teacher. :whiste:
