You really don't run a huge gamut of tests and a comprehensive suite on an eng. sample board and beta drivers. This thing is a ways away from completion yet. I just think its impressive that there are two (S3 and XGI) companies with realistic goals at creating mainstream graphics cards. It remains to be seen where the price points effectively place these cards upon their release. It seems both companies felt DX9 architecture was "new" or "different" enough that they had an odds-on shot at competing with Nvidia and ATI in this arena. I look forward to seeing how these cards continue to develop.

Its hard to judge, synthetics dont look good at the moment, but I do remember the 'fine tuning' Nvidia made so ill hold out there.
