Delta Force: Black Hawk Down Game for the PC...

Anyone pick up Delta Force: Black Hawk Down for the PC? I'm curious to my fellow ATOT members opinons, not reviews from site like IGN and GS, thanks

I haven't, but I played the Demo. It wasn't that great IMO. It would be worth playing is someone gave it to me for free, but I don't think I'd spend too much money on it.

I really liked the demo, and I'd pick it up in a heartbeat... But I already have too many other games that need my attention.

I played the beta demo when it came out. It was fun for a while, but i didnt really like it.

I havn't tried it yet but I am a verified DF3 addict, I am currently at work so I can't got out and find out for myself if theres multiplayer in DFBHD (evil corprate firewall) but if there is I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.

Is the graphics engine much better than DFLW?

It's pretty cool, fun at first but then gets boring. It is somewhat realistic, and I love it when I'm in the blackhawk blindly blasting at skinnies. The humvee gun is fun also. But the game has several glaring flaws: teammates dumb as sh!t, skinnies dumb as sh!t (no teamwork and they can't aim), and the game gets repetative. Also, some missions are fustrating, like one of last ones; you are storming a beach full of mines and are under mortar fire, I must have restarted 30ish times cause I kept stepping on the mines or getting mortared (they don't do a good job of explaining where you are supposed to go). So save your money unless you are really into this type of games.

LMAO, in the ride to shore they say "stay close to the rocks".

I like it, FPS's are pretty much all I play aside from flight sims. Like OulOat said the AI is really bad, but the game is decent. I like the various different mission types, and a few times I really got surprised by a skinny standing behind some rubble.

It has limited saves per mission so you have to play well, and save at the right times. The harder the mission the more saves you get, but barely enough for a couple missions.

This game isn't worth it at all. It took me all of 2 days to finish it. Less time than Unreal 2.


Both Hitman 2 and Rainbow 6 3: Raven Shield are more challenging, and more rewarding, than BHD. Hitman 2 I played before BHD, Raven Shield I played after. And I'm still playing it.

Oh yeah, I also played Viet Cong a short while before BHD. Now there's a great game... get Viet Cong instead!

I liked it.... yeah a few levels were annoying as hell but overall i thought they captured the atmostphere of BHD right on. Can't beat mowing down hordes of skinnies

I have finished playing the game. I enjoyed that game very much. The graphics are not up to sniff to Rainbow Six 3 but the game play is very good and the missions get tougher as you progress.

One the whole, I think that Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is a excellent game. Definitely worth buying.
