Drove one. It was okay. Got lots of looks. Liviathan, if you do get one, be sure there is a mechanic in your area that knows how to work on them. Some of the edges of the metal on the body haven't been smoothed and are very sharp. I remember one incident when a mechanic was adjusting the gull-wing doors, needed to remove the center panel on the roof, and in the process sliced his fingers pretty badly.

Off topic, but the 1948 Tucker Torpedo was a friggin' amazing car.
>>

the tucker was that one car that went up against the big 3 in cars right? it had a bunch of features back then that were laughed at or whatever but are standard now like seatbelts and all that junk? and then the big 3 took him to court and like at the end he goes on a 100+mph car chase and then everyone was like 'yowza'? but then he still couldnt keep production for some reason that i forgot?

what was the name of htat movie and am i even thinking of the right one? :)

Other than the car chase you are thinking about the right car. The Tucker did post some impressive (for the time) numbers on closed track demonstrations, which may be the "car chase" you are thinking of.

I was going to post the same thing. A neighbor has one of those. It's been sitting outside untouched for a good 10 years. Kind of a shame.
