Dells Server Support has just gone down the tubes.

just had a hardrive bite the dust in a production server so i called up dell to get a new one. they now have that dumb ass voice system where you it ask you questions and you reply. well i am in a noisy server room with 120 servers and 6 8 ton A/C units blasting away so there is enough background noise that the voice system cant understand my answers. I finally get through that BS and have been on hold now for 35 minutes.

We buy top level server support for all of our servers and until tonight i have never been on hold. Also that stupid ass voice system has to go. :|

Just press 8679305 and you'll get through. If they put you on hold at least you'll hear decent music. ;)

i am on hold now, have been listening to "user tips" that if i want to use the white digital cable for my monitor, be sure to unplug the blue cable from both ends.

or

rebooting your system can fix most issues...


GRRRRRR its like i am on PC Support queue. who ever answers the phone is going to get a grumpy customer.

did you call the gold support number or the regular number?

I have not placed a call in awhile but in the past I have had nothing but good things to say about Gold support.
