I am a newbie and I purchased a new PowerEdge SC1420 server with 160 GB SATA. one 3.0GHZ Xeon 256 MB The system came without OS. Can I install XP Pro. IF I get a workstation do I need to get one that also has 3.0 GHZ or can I get a lower GHZ. Should I install a wireless router or cable. I have a small one room and will be putting the sytem in the same room.
 
What is the system going to be used for? Is this for a company or just personal use?

A workstation and the server don't have to have similar harware. XP Pro will be fine for a lot of things.
 
The sytem will be used for a company. Actually I a one man shop at this time but plan to open an office and expand the system
