Dell's Dead Pixel Policy

I know Dell will replace one of its own branded lcd's if it arrives with a dead pixel. What if I purchase a Sony or Viewsonic from them though? Really wanted to get in on that VP912b deal but I know if it comes with dead pixels I can't exactly bring it back to the store and exchange it.

it isnt so much a dead pixel policy, its their customer satisfaction policy, if you're not happy with it, you can return it for a new one.

Hrm... so even if there is only 1 dead pixel, and I'm not satisfied, I can return it?

I hope mine doesn't have any, it is coming in today.

I ordered a monitor from Dell, didn't like it, and they picked it up. I just had to fill out the stickers and whatnot.

I had a 2001fp that I did not like and returned it. They paid for shipping and DHL picked it up from my house

Cool, thanks guys. At least I know they will take it back for me if there is any problems.

Anyone have info on the number of pixels required for a return? I don't want to be too picky, but you figure if you spend that much money on a monitor, it should be right.

Its coming soon! Hooray!

It probably is, but you don't get the same deals. I actually would prefer to order from Office Depot or something so that I can always return it, but I can't find a deal as good as $507 for the 2100FP.

Given the good return policy with Dell, I'll probably go with that on the next deal if it drops below $500. It sounds like you can return the thing for any reason; it won't be "defective" but you're just unsatisfied.
