at least Dell is trying to shoehorn enthusiast gaming into the mainstream. I dont like it, but I dont mind it either.

That 20" notebook looks quite interesting. In fact that is exactly the sort of thing I want; a desktop replacement that would stay at home 75% of the time, but can also be portable when I go on trips.

Well it finally worked. But they've had the XPS line of laptops and desktops for years.

I don't think this is from the Alienware acquisition. If it was, they would probably use the Alienware name. This is just Dell's XPS line, which they have been selling for years.

that desktop looks like a dellienware...

the laptops I agree, they look like they've been around...

Dell bought Alienware for the name, not for the hardware. And it doesn't look like Alienware case anyways... it looks like my heater.

LOL! I can't believe they actually said, "Aggressive Forward Leaning Design". What in the hell is "aggressive" about it just because it leans foward... lmao.

i think the conversation went something like this

marketing guy: we want it to be a forward leaning design.
designer #1: wtf does that mean?
designer #2: i don't know, let's make it lean forward
designer #1: Genuis! ;)

I was considering Dell's XPS line since I got some sweet no interest credit from Dell, but the one I wanted was like $3000, where I could get the parts and a nicer 19" WS LCD for $1400 from Newegg.

Even came with a free copy of Age of Empires III :)

I've always been a big proponent of building your PC yourself, but very often with Dell's specials, it is very hard to beat their pricing.

I love how they had to take a pic of the stabilizing fin.

Maybe I should take some glamor shots of my old antec case with 4 stabilizing fins hehe.

Bullcrap! It has a stabalizing fin!

Same old alienware compu-rice.
That stabilizing fin is oriented in such a way that it does nothing to keep it from falling on its face.

Centrino laptops actually have pretty good battery life, the GTX will slaughter it though.
