dell xps m170, 6800 ultra or 7800 gtx

im buying a dell m170 xps laptop and am trying to figure out if it is worth it to upgrade from the 6800 ultra to the 7800 gtx. both have 256 of memory. the system is for gaming even though it is a laptop and some first person games such as fear will likely be played. i recognize that the 9300 series is very similar to the xps series but the person i am getting this for really wants the xps "factor". any thoughts?

7800gtx, especially if you have the money and especially if your a gamer on a laptop. even in a desktop, i would tell you to get the 7800. being someone whom has 2 geforce 6800 ultras, i would certainly tell you its worth it to splurge for the 7800.

I would definately go for the 7800. The ultra is outdated, and the 7800 is much faster.

HUGE difference between 6800 Ultra and 7800GTX. Get the 7800GTX if you can afford it.
