Hard to say. Some new games that are coming out are supporting the widescreen format, such as HL2 and Worlds of Warcraft. I would assume however that alot of lower profile games may not so you'd have to decide if the black sidebars were worth it. One thing I'm not sure on is the height of the panel itself. I would assume that if it's 20.1" at 16:10 then the height is much lower then on a 4:3. So it could be like useing a 17" monitor if you play 4:3 style games.

Hmm.. should I buy the 1905 or the 2001? I've used the 2001 before and I love it, but I usually don't game any higher than 1280x1024. Agh.

I was checking out something before, I think the cheapest accessory I found on Dell's website was an $8 audio cable, so you would lose $7 of the $45 off, so get the 1703FP for like $261 instead of $254.. not a big deal

These prices are amazing, I just bought a 1703FP like this summer for $369 when it was a really hot deal, now its down to almost $250!!!

Edit: I bought my 1703FP 3 months ago (to this day), and the price dropped $120!

Ok, I just said to hell with it and ordered the 2001FP. $554 w/ free shipping + $33 tax, so $587. 😀

Now I can replace that ugly crt that I have at home.
 
be carefull when you add the filler item. I just ordered the 17" with a multimedia keyboard for 14.95 (used a 25%off accessory cupon to get it to like 11 something) but then the shipping cost you $8.50.. sucks.. but 296 with tax and shipping with semi nice keyboard aint bad.
