Curses!

I want it, but can't get it until my next CC billing cycle which starts on the 18th!

Guess I'll have to wait until the next 25% off deal.

When you are ready, call them up, and ask if they will still honor that price. They might. When I bought mine (group buy at work), the price had jumped back up, but since the company bought a bunch of them at the cheaper price, Dell allowed us to buy more at the low price.

Can I get free tax if I live in California?

No.

Q Do I have to pay taxes for my personal purchase?
A Currently, we collect sales tax for all system purchases in the following states: Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Virginia, Missouri, California, Wisconsin and Nevada.
In other states, the purchaser is responsible for remitting the use tax on all taxable items to the appropriate state tax authorities.
Dell does collect sales tax for On-Site Service contracts in all states.

Any clue why they charge tax in Indiana, then?

You fill out a form - takes another 3 mins. .. worth it for another $15 off...

I don't see anywhere that says I get 2% off because of this.

Also, does anybody know if this can stack with the Entertainment Book's Dell Coupon (I think that's right)?

Dell has a presence in Indiana, and the other cities mentioned in my post.

Well, I managed to quickly sell my 1901FP so I could bite on this 2001FP. 🙂

$794.37 after tax - I guess that's about the best I'm gonna do. Just wish I could have/would have done this when they first came out and were available at the same price but oh well...

Sold it for $495 in the FS/FT forums (here). I know I could have gotten more but I just wanted to get rid of it while I could still get the 2001FP. 🙂

Why?

that's a good deal. i wonder how much i can get rid of my 1800fp one for... i want to get at least a 19 incher now. it's a shame that the 191Ts are still so expensive - i hear they have ghosting issues, much worse than the traditional screen. bah.

Well... I gave in and bought the 2001fp. This better be a super good monitor... Well at least a lot better than my 15" crt....

BTW, is this good for gaming? or is it better for looking at websites? or both?

It is an awesome display. The only ones who say otherwise are SUPER picky and have to have the absolute best, but this monitor is a super buy for that price. The gaming performance is excellent and of course web sites and any Windows apps look great with all that real estate. You will not be disappointed and it will be a huge improvement. 🙂

Mine shipped out today...

how often does this deal come around? The last deal was back in May wasn't it? Every few months?

Mine also shipped today. Hopefully they'll accidentally deliver it tomorrow instead of next week... 😛

I know the deal is gone again, but I have a question about this monitor. Two of my hobbies are image editing (Photoshop) and video editing (Premiere and After Effects). The extperts say to use a CRT instead of a LCD monitor, but I would really like to have the real estate of this monitor without the enormous bulk of a 21" CRT. Anyone else using this monitor for these apps? Is it very detrimental? Thanks!
