It depends on what you're doing (and probably your eyesight). For strict desktop/productivity usage I image a 30" is better overall because of the vertical real estate and larger text, but for gaming I love the 27" with its tighter pixel pitch and 16:9 aspect ratio.

Agreed - ummmm.. you could use a bigger font, I can't see

I have an HP zr30W, and I love it. got it for 1100, might want to check around for one of those if interested.
 
Your going to get lag, motion lag , game lag .. laggy mouse .............., But on my rig this LCD feels like my CRT ,,, 0 zero lag ,, amazing Samsung pownz us all...
