Both Amazon and Newegg had it for $585 a few days ago but it went back up to $650. It's now dropped to $550 but I don't know for how long. Newegg just says for a "limited time".

Yeah, I've heard about the QC issues. It put me off a little, but they come with the 3 year pixel perfect warranty and I've heard they're really good about replacing them until you get a good one. I also wonder just how widespread this problem is. I image it's more than usual because of the number of complaints online, but it's still likely a relatively small percentage of all the u2713hm sales. I just received 2 of them at work and they were both perfect.
