Dell U2175H, Inspiron 3847 Appropriate Graphics Card

Hello,

I ordered a Dell U2715H monitor for my Dell Inspiron 3847. The U2715H is an "ultrasharp" high res display. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&sku=210-ADKB

I have this NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 705 2GB DDR3 graphics card. I do not play any games. I simply use the computer for web browsing, Office (heavy excel use), occasional youtube videos.

My question is this: I don't want this monitor operating at a substandard refresh rate and given the function for my cpu usage, is this graphics card appropriate to avoid frame rate loss at 2560 x 1440 resolution or do I need to upgrade it?

Thanks in advance!

Actually, you might have trouble driving the monitor at 1440p@60Hz without using DisplayPort. You can try using HDMI and see if that will work. People have reported being able to drive that resolution over HDMI by setting a custom profile in the NVidia control panel.
