Currently on a old Samsung Syncmaster 17" tft i bought few years back.
Looking to upgrade it to a 24" monitor. I understand to get the top line stuff I would need to empty my wallet a bit, but Im setting a realistic target of £250 or so (need to buy a mp3 player too ).
This falls me into the somewhat common category of Dell and Samsung. I can get a Dell Truecolour E248WFP for around £251 and the Samsung T240 for around £244. I know there all TN panels, I would've liked to have bought a nice VA panel or so, but if anyone knows a VA panel going for £200-300 please show me the way!

I usually primarily use my pc for gaming (mmo's, fps, RPG's etc) and to watch some tv shows/movies. I also use it for other basic stuff such as surfing the web etc.
Im just looking for bang for buck really, something worth the money, something of those 2 (or others if anyone can suggest a monitor that surpasses them for nearer the same price) that has the highest quality picture/colours/definition/clarity etc. So which is/would be better?
Would appreciate any advice/opinions/experience anyone has with these monitors or both and point me in the right direction .
