DELL TELLS ME THERE IS A NEW 2005 MODEL AT SELL -2005WFP INSTEAD OF 2005FPW-

Yeah i know, WHAT THA??!!!!

they called me because i was interested on the 2005 fpw and when i asked for this model they told me that this was a great offer (500 euros) but they said there was another model better than 2005fpw for 200 euros thats 700 euros. was the ---------2005 WFP---------------

when i recover my self from the impact ¿??¿?!¿?!¿?

i asked about the resolution and they said it was the same, same resolution, size, aspect ratio, the only thing the said again and again is that is was A DIFFERENT MODEL WITH BETTER QUALITY FOR ALL PURPOSES.

now im shocked this is like a ghost model it doesnt even apper any reference on google. what do you think, maybe they are triying to push me away from the initial offer???


HEEEEEEELPP NEED SOME GURUS RIGHT HERE RIGHT KNOW TO ENLIGHT THIS

OK GUYS THIS IS GETTING HARDCORE i have received an email whith an official offer by dell and THERES A 2005WFP the complete model name is:

FP/MG - Euro - 20 in (2005 WFP HAS TCO 99) Wide Aspect UltraSharp Midnight Grey Flat Panel

the unique explanation i can think about is that considering the quality problem usa users are talking about whit 2005fpw because of dead pixels and specially with backlight problems Dell would have decided to assembly a model in Europe with higher quality controls, just the same model but without those problems.
maybe the -EURO- tag in the model name is the clue to follow to support this theory

any european users to call dell to ask for this model to confirm -2005WFP INSTEAD OF 2005FPW-
UK, FRANCE, GERMANS, come on just callem and ask for this model then post what they tell you.

both US Dell and UK Dell sites only list 2005FPW.....

when i get home i'll log on with my Dell PC and see if there are any manuals listed in the knowledgebase for two different models......im suspecting the Dell people you have spoken to have no idea what they are on about and are getting their letters mixed up, possibly an advert promo they ran printed it the wrong way around because of some morons typo...lol
quite possible they want u to pay the fuller price so they get more comission.

I ordered a 2005fp some days ago, on www.dell.se it says 2005fpw. But in the paper I got sent to me it says 2005wfp (FP/MG - Euro- 20in (2005WFP HAS TCO99) Wide.......)

Hopefully its the same as 2005fpw but with better backlight problems..... will se tomorrow when it arrives.

Well, I got my own 2005.. wide screen from the UK and on the order says UK/Irish- 20in 2005wfp.

However, I haven't seen it yet since I am not in the UK right now!

forget it, it turned out to be a dell employee that knows nothing about computers, he misunderstood
catalog info and invented a model that didnt exists.

sorry for the confusion and thanks for interesting on this matter.
