Dell Support?

My friend sent a Money Order to Dell and it was cashed, but she never received the Computer. It has been five months, they say they don't have the order, but they found the record of the money order. So far she has been unable to get anyone to take the authority to say, they will send out her order or give her a refund.

Does anyone know a way to get past the lower level of support and get to someone who is not scared to make a decision?

TIA

be aggressive. if they don't comply with the demands to speak to a supervisor, get their badge number (they all have to identify themselves with that nowadays) and file a complaint. in fact, if they don't forward the call onto a supervisor, mention that you have their badge number and will file a complaint about them. make sure to instill fear in them. that is all.

Learn to speak Hindi, then call and claim to be Vishnu and threaten to send their Jiva to Hell.

Tried the supervisor, she keeps getting recordings and no one calls back. I will get her to get the badge numbers and get them to get a supervisor onthe phoneline, maybe that will work.

Five months? Wow, I call and bitch at companies if they are five days late.

Your friend must have alot of patience to wait five months for a computer before calling to complain.

They told her it would be at least 6 weeks. Since she was prepaying with a money order instead of a credit card. So she started calling after about 3 months. They told her no order. So she checked with the money order company. They took about a month to let her know who cashed it. So she has been been dealing with Dell on it about a month now. It was supposed to be refunded about a week ago and she called to check on it and has gotten the run around for a week now.

I'd actually prefer learning Hindi to learning "pimple-faced highschool dropout moron" usually required to speak with domestic customer service reps.

Don't get annoyed at the Indians. Its your good ol', capitalist-raised, apple-pie companies that sold you down the river.

Call the sales department and let them know you need someone in the US that is a supervisor and see if they can help you. Don't do the India crap. If she tells them India has been yanking her around for months and she's about to contact the Attorney General she might get some help.
