I also want to buy a dell. Can somebody give me some suggestions of what is the best time to buy, before Christmas or after?

dodo - The best time to order is probably after Christmas since I think a new motherboard was recently introduced which should mean lower prices. How will you know when to order? There's two things to watch for:
1) Read this Hot Deals forum at least once a day to keep up to date on the latest Dell deals.
2) The best Dell deals offer 3-4 specials all together such as: Free CD-RW or DVD Upgrade, $50-$100 off, Free Ground Shipping AND Free Palm m100 or m105 PDA ... something like that is where you'll earn the maximum "bang for your buck".

Hopefully I'll be ordering another Dell Dimension 4300 when the next wave of super hot deals rolls around.

dodo, I can tell you from following Dell's promotions very closely that it's very hard to predict them. I regret not taking advantage of a dell laptop deal I posted myself because I thought the price might drop even more. Not only didn't it drop but it went up $300 - $400. So, don't wait. Take advantage of them ASAP.
